    Description

    A  fine quality Kris from the Maguindanao tribe, west coast of Mindanao Island. Desirable both because of the
    condition as well as having the original scabbard. The hilt is wood with a flat top pommel and is wrapped with cane which is in excellent condition. The guard is pierced and held in place by a single stirrup. There is a collection catalogue number in red, painted on the guard. he straight blade is well forged, showing the forging laminations. It has only one small nick in the edge, ( as shown).
    Te wood scabbard is in very good condition, showing only minor dings and some surface abrasion
    The scabbard is in the Maguindanao style without a cross piece.
    Overall length of the kris is, 26.25", The blade is 23,25". Kris in scabbard is 26.5"
