    Downy Woodpecker Hand Carved Wood Bird. Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
    I carved this Downy Woodpecker from Tupelo wood, painted him with acrylic paints, and mounted him on a split birch log. The overall height of the mounted bird is approximately 10 1/2". The width of the mounted bird is approximately 3 1/2". The Woodpecker itself is about 7" long from tip of beak to tip of tail. There is a saw tooth hanger on the back of the birch log so that it can be hung from a nail on the wall. I also put several small metal staples along the two back sides to make sure the birch bark does not unravel over time.
