Natsume is a container used to hold and present the matcha powder during a tea ceremony. Natsume translates to Jujube. It is named after the fruit due to their resemblance in shape. These containers are not airtight, so they are not suitable for long term storage of matcha powder. They are only intended for presentation and heightening the tea making experience. Definitely not suitable for the dishwasher or microwave! Must be gently hand washed and dried completely with a soft cloth before storage due to their delicate nature.
